Private gay cam shows explained

Updated October 10, 2026. Facts come from each site's own FAQ, terms and help pages.

"Private" on a cam site doesn't always mean private. On some sites other members can watch your private show without talking. The word you want differs by platform.

How you're billed during a show

Asking for what you want

Performers list what they will and won't do, and Streamen's FAQ suggests asking in chat before you go private. That's good manners and good budgeting. If they say no, that's the answer. Find someone else; there's no shortage.

On Streamen, ask before buying a block session too. Blocks are discounted, but they have to be used in one go.

If a show goes wrong

RoyalCamsGay asks you to contact support about unsatisfying privates or technical problems. Stripchat's terms allow refunds at its discretion for technical failures or a provably unsatisfactory private, and expect you to end the show quickly. Streamen stops billing the moment the chat closes. CamSoda refunds the unused time if a performer ends a private early.

Recording

Stripchat lets models allow users to record shows ("Recordable Privates"). That's about recording the performer, but it's a reminder that if you turn your own camera on, you should assume it could be captured. See cam2cam explained.
